Case Study – Peace Be Still
In this case study, I show how we created A Dramatic Night Scenery from A Day Shot of The Ocean. The Inspirational Pik created with this technique is called “Peace Be Still”, one of the desktop wallpapers created for our “31 Days of Glorious Wallpapers” gallery.
Inspirational Thought Process:
And he (Jesus) arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39
Trying to find the perfect photo for a graphic design piece can take longer than doing the actual design itself. In this case, I was not going to find that perfect image I needed to set the correct tone for the scripture. I needed a beach scenery that was shot at night immediately after a thunderstorm. After searching for a while, I found the beach shot that looked perfect, but it was a day scenery, I needed a night shot. This called for some cool graphic design work. Thanks to all the amazing tools in Photoshop, I was able to complete this piece.
A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral. – Atoine de Saint-Exupery
