I have a few unbelievers that I am trying to reach - I will take your advice.

Thanks Chris – that definitely helps. I think we should take every situation as they come and analyze how to approach them. I've been in situations where non-believers took my pearls and spat them out. However, the next day they came back and wanted to know more. They still didn't get saved, but I believe that a seed was planted, and through that, the Holy Spirit will work. As long as it doesn't grow into an argument, and you are spiritually ready to take on the challenge, I say go for it.A good way to start a dialog is to have them ask questions. If they ask something that you aren't ready to answer, then just tell them that you are not prepared to answer it. That works for me.I ask myself the same questions sometimes. "Are they ready to receive it? Should I just pray for an opening to share the gospel with them? " however, when it's time for me to share, I usually feel it in my spirit, then I grasp at the first opportunity.I hope this helps :)

Hi Kaleb thanks for your insight. I have to admit that I work with some non believers and when they are talking about their own beliefs, which have nothing to do with Jesus Christ, I find myself hesitating to share. For me though, it's the whole issue of "casting your pearls before swine" etc. Are they ready to receive it? Should I just pray for an opening to share the gospel with them? Some of them are very vocal about their anti-Christian views. I agree with your line "Why are we so afraid? Are we afraid that the world will look at us as if we are crazy? Are we afraid of the persecution? Oh wait, is it the fear of losing friends and close family members?" I think in most cases, this is eactly what it is...we want to be accepted and so do not want to say something that is going to alienate us.Your article gives much food for thought and self reflection. We are called to spread the good news and the only person we should want to please is our heavenly father. With that said, we should spread the message at all costs.

Very eye-opening. I totally agree with you.
