Case Study – Win Her Back Christian Wallpaper
Case Study – Win Her Back: This is a case study showing how I created the wallpaper called “Win Her Back”, it was part of the series of wallpaper called, “31 Days of Glorious Wallpapers”. You will see all the photos and steps it took to create the final results! I hope this case study will inspire you to to get creative and play around with your favorite art programs.
Inspiration and Thought Process:
The wallpaper idea was posted by, Pat Kashtock, who suggested that we do one on Hosea 2:14-16, which deals with the tender relationship that God desires to have with His people. Immediately I was excited to put a graphical representation to it. I thought about the verse and looked a little deeper into It’s prophetic promises to specifically, Gods chosen people, the Jews and the Holy land of Israel, and secondarily, to us as Christians. Everything came together as I found images that went along with the idea I had in mind.
The Lord’s Love for Unfaithful Israel
“But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there. I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope. She will give herself to me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt. When that day comes,†says the Lord, “you will call me ‘my husband’ instead of ‘my master.’ Hosea 2:14-16 (NLV)
“…We often see God as a far way deity who is not really thinking of us. God is always thinking of us and chasing after us, to win us back to himself. He actually want us to be intimately connected to Him. Thank God He went all the way to the cross and beyond to love us.” ~Michael Taylor

Great Stuff! I am definitely hanging on to this link. Thanks for sending it my way.
You are welcome Simi, if you ever have any questions about design, feel free to ask 🙂
Loswl, you’re totally right! This will benefit both parties! I’ll let you know when I make one. I have some themes in mind 🙂
This is very beautiful! Your work inspires me. You follow your heart and create great work for the Lord. I’ve always wanted to do a christian theme artwork but keep on procrastinating. Guess I should get at it! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the compliments Carine, try it out, it is rewarding in two ways, it is a great way to study the Bible and at the same time share the Gospel with others 🙂
Thanks for sharing your thought process.
It was a fun project Farbo, Harley and Pat, happy you liked it and I agree with you Pat, that if the world only knew how much He loves them and cares for them, they would not run away from Him. He laid down His life for all of us, if only we understood the fullness of the finished work on Calvary :O)
This is great. Love the work. God as truly blessed you. Keep doing this great work for your ministry.
Lovely composition. Ho did you do the overall yellow color?
Hi Monique, I used a couple of “Gradients” and “Color Balance” Adjustment Layers. These layer options can be found on the bottom of the Layers Palette in Photoshop, the symbol looks like a half moon, when clicked it gives different layer option, like levels, curves, gradient etc. When eg. the color balance layer is applied above a photo you can manipulate the colors without destroying the original photo.
Here is a great tutorial:

This is beautiful, Mark! Thank you so much for taking on the subject. I wish the world could know how He feels about them. That is my deepest desire, to see people find out who He really is, and fall in love with HIm.
May He bless you abundantly,
Pat Kashtock
