The Bible

The Bible Mini-Series Trailer

March 1, 2013 |

The Bible Mini-Series: Adapting a literary work for the big screen is an endeavor fraught with peril. Stray too far from the original work and you risk wrecking the story’s appeal (and angering fans of the book). Yet adhere too slavishly to the exact details of the book and you risk producing an uninspired film that doesn’t play to any of the strengths of the medium. And those are just the risks you face when adapting a typical novel— say, a Harry Potter or Twilight installment. You can imagine how much more intimidating and problematic this becomes when you’re adapting a book that millions of people consider to be the living Word of God.

A Conversation With God

A Conversation With God

October 17, 2012 |

I came to a season in life where nothing made sense to me anymore. There came a time in my life when God was calling me deeper. The place I was in at that time of life could no longer contain my destiny. I had to go deeper, deeper into God so that I could grow enough to embrace my new destiny. New wine cannot be placed in old wineskins. The old wineskins may burst. For the first time in my life, through heartache and pain, I had to go deeper! This is how this book came into existence. This is my pursuit of conversations with God. I had come to a point in life where I wanted to know his thoughts. Price $12.99

The Voice by Gemstone Media

The Voice by Gemstone Media

April 5, 2012 |

At first glance, Hari seems unique. In simple obedience to a voice no one else can hear, he boldly shares his faith with everyone he meets. But Hari is not so different from us. He has made a choice to pursue and trust God completely. It is a choice each one of us could make. We could each be like Hari: genuine, obedient, bold, and faithful. This is your chance. The voice is speaking to you as well. You may never have a vision, but God reaches out to each of us in a way uniquely suited to who we are. What is He saying to you? What were you created for? ~ by GemStone Media

Genesis creation narrative

Genesis Creation Narrative by Hidetsugu Murakami

January 13, 2012 |

The Genesis Creation Narrative by Hidetsugu Murakami is a brilliant animation sequence that chronicles the Genesis account of Creation. The smooth animation and transitions are mesmorizing and effective in taking a long story and breaking it down in a short and beautiful composition. Only issue i found with this video is the fact that the small text is very hard to read, but if you know the Genesis story, then you won’t miss a beat, check it out!

September 10, 2011 |

Beautiful Images in Remembrance of 911: Who would have thought that an airplane would be used as a weapon against the citizens of America? People woke up to a regular day, to the hustle and bustle of life, not expecting anything but the normal routine, but the terror acts of a few changed our lives in many ways. Whether you were in New York or on the other side of the world, you could not watch the images of the planes crashing into the towers and not be shocked, outraged and disgusted at the devastation and massive loss of lives displayed before our eyes. As we reflect on the events of this day, say a prayer for the families that were affected by this tragedy, pray also for those that would orchestrate such terrible acts. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. Free Fall by Prolifik films

April 28, 2011 |

Prolifik films were created to provide visual storytelling for ministries, churches, and non-profit organizations that are serious about having an impact and creating change. Free Fall is a poetic and visual interpretation of Genesis the introduction of sin into our world & the fall of mankind. Free Fall doesn’t provide a resolution or call to action, but serves to creatively set up the topic of sin & brokenness, or our desperate need for redemption.

Photographs Celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

After the Romans crucified Jesus, he was buried in a new tomb but he rose from the dead and appeared to the disciples and 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:6) over a span of forty days before his return to heaven. Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, the Sunday after Good Friday which marks his crucifixion. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is a triumphant victory over death and the event is the most important event following the crucifixion. Without the resurrection our faith would be meaningless, because we would not have the hope of being raised from the dead and we would still be under the condemnation of sin. But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not…    read more

Beautiful Images Depicting The Cross of Christ

Death by crucifixion was an especially cruel and agonizing way to die. The Romans employed this form of execution primarily for slaves, although it was also used for foreigners, traitors and the most despicable of criminals. It was generally regarded as too degrading to be utilized for Roman citizens.1 Christ’s death on the cross is God’s ultimate act of love for mankind, The cross reminds us of Jesus’ victory over death, through His death and resurrection, we have the assurance of victory over sin and the promise of eternal life. As we look at these images, lets reflect on God’s love and sacrifice, take every opportunity to share the Gospel with others. Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. Romans 5:18 [ilink url=”http://www.christinyou.net/pages/crosschrst.html”] Cross of Christ : A study of the meaning of…    read more

The Mighty Intercessor by Eric Ludy

October 12, 2010 |

An intercessor is someone who fights on behalf of others. As such, intercession is the activity that identifies us most with Christ. We should be interceding for our families, church, business, job, authorities, country or anyone who you have responsibility for and anything that God tells us to pray for. Jesus is our great intercessor, He came to earth and interceded for us by taking the mocking, beating and the cruelty of the cross and He is still at the right hand of the Father interceding for us each day. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:25 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Romans 8:34 Watch this powerful video that encourages…    read more

A Call to Anguish by David Wilkerson

October 7, 2010 |

David Wilkerson’s soul-stirring sermon on the necessity of anguish – to bear God’s heart, passion, and burden within our lives. David Wilkerson, gives a powerful sermon that speaks to the Church in a mighty way about the need for anguish in our hearts for the world, he speaks about how God uses anguish to bring us closer to himself. So what is anguish, it is not a word used often today, it is extreme pain, distress, or anxiety over a given situation, example “He experienced the anguish of divorce after 10 years of marriage.” Watch this powerful video and see what the Church is missing, when it only focuses on ministry and programs, without anguish in our hearts.
