Seeking Knowledge

Seeking Knowledge by Chris TaylorTo seek knowledge, is to advance in wisdom. I often tell people that there is a difference between reading the Bible and studying the Bible. Anyone can read a book, but have no comprehension of what’s really going on. Many people say the Bible was written by man, yet they sometimes leave out the fact that it was also inspired by God, the Almighty. The Bible withstands any test and has survived the trials of man.

I am so surprise to find out how many great scientists and inventors were actual Christians. The solid proof of Dinosaurs in the Bible from Genesis to Job. Seeing how the architecture of one cell is more complex than the city of New York and how cells have tiny microscopic parts that resemble actual gears and dump trucks. Evolution is put to shame and our faith is lifted up by the proof of A Divine Creator (Designer) all around us. It tickles me when I hear people that believe in evolution use the term “designed” when talking about animals and plants, go figure.

Non-Christian historians and scientist say that Noah’s Ark was the most sea worthy vessel ever made according to it’s specifications and their experiments. When they found the site for the Wall of Jericho, they also found out that the city fell EXACTLY how the Bible describes it, the same thing with Sodom and Gomorrah.

Seeking knowledge has opened up my eyes to how much the world we know and the things we expose ourselves to are so tainted. From T.V. shows to Holidays, nothing is safe, because the devils have their hands in everything. For instance, why do we (Christians) call Easter, Easter (Ishtar) when it’s the name of the Pagan goddess of fertility, hence the rabbits and the eggs. Valentines had nothing to do with the lustful god Cupid, and Eros (erotic) love, but had to do with several Christian martyred saints, in Rome. I can go on about Christmas and Halloween, and Kwanzaa (a fake African Holiday), but it’ll take up much space. My point is, to at-least learn about any tradition that you take part in.

Education in our country has been taken for granted on the highest degree, I certainly didn’t go to a great High School and didn’t have much influential people in my life to push me, but to be honest, our society pushes us to go after the needless things in life instead of righteousness, education, and knowledge about the real world that we live in. I haven’t come across many people that know about the Patriot Act 1 and 2. Operation Garden Plot, Planed Parenthood, The dangers of Tylenol and anything with ibuprofen, the dangers of Aspartame, the possible misuse of RFID Chips, the North American Union, The Amero Dollar, The Trans-Texas Corridor, The New World Order, Satanism in the Catholic “Church”, the “Going Green” propaganda, The Global Warming Scam, the push for a one world religion, currency, and economy and more. I urge everyone to find out at-least what’s going on in their country and the world and relate it back to the Bible, and Bible Prophecy. Bible Prophecy is neglected in a lot of today’s churches, and it is sad, because it leaves many believers unaware of the times that we are in. We are in the age of Apostasy, and many are being deceived.

I met an Indian girl once, and she’d always talk about going to “church”, but never professed Christ; I had to ask her what she meant by “church” and who her and her family worshiped. Well it turned out that they worshipped a Hindu god and she also thinks that Christianity is great but, “all paths lead to God”. We both agreed that she didn’t actually go to a “church” but, a temple. The sad part is, she had no knowledge about her religion because she wasn’t able to answer any questions I asked about it. She told me that when they go, someone just speaks in a language that she doesn’t understand, so basically she doesn’t even know why she goes… I’m sorry, but I would have to find out, if I was her. I explained to her that, Jesus is the only way, and gave her the Word, but she quickly changed the conversation after that.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

They are many religions and cults out there, and many idols to worship. But there is only one God, Jesus Christ Almighty.

Most important for Christians, is the study of the Word of God, the Holy Bible. We are urged in 2Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Unbelief sometimes comes through ignorance. Studying and practicing what the bible teaches is the way to becoming a friend of God and fulfilling God’s purpose. As it was shown in Abraham’s life in James 2:23, And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

I pray that whoever reads this will gain something. If you are unsaved, I urge you to accept Jesus and His simple plan for salvation. If you are saved, I hope you get the message that I am trying to convey, and that you will find a way to apply it to your daily walk with God. A lot of this has helped me when witnessing to people of a broad variety.

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ. Be encouraged in the word because Jesus is the word made flesh. He (the word) is the way (the word), the truth (the word), and the life (the word.) Don’t take my word for it, take His. Revelation 19:11-13

Without the correct knowledge and understanding we cannot have the correct faith, so I agree that we have to continually be seeking. However, since ALL scripture is God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16) the only place we should be looking is in God’s word. We too often turn to man’s thoughts and man’s ideas and so get sucked into man’s traditions, forsaking God’s commands and nullifying God’s word (Mt 15:3-9). By obeying man’s traditions we are just like the Pharisees, or worship of God is made up only of rules taught by men (Is 29:13; Mt 15:9).

We have a covenant to keep, and if you do not know what that covenant is, then how are we supposed to be able to keep it. We have to be seeking knowledge and understanding so that we can have the correct faith and actions according to God’s word.

And lets pray to God to strengthen all Christian’s (from all denominations) to know, love and serve Him. And may he bring all people to Himself.

A great post to reflect upon!

However, you mention the Catholic Church as being the Catholic “Church”. I certainly agree that the Catholic Church like all Christian denominations is run by human beings and is swayed away by the true message of Jesus sometimes.

However, I strongly believe that God works in the Catholic Church (in the same way as any other Christian denomination). Within the Catholic Church, there are people who have a strong relationship with God and people who simply follow the motions (only God knows, however).

I think God only exist for those who want to belive in, and thats just how it should be. I personally not, and none has been able to make me belive yet. In fact i got envy of believers cause they feel confort believing someone is taking care about all sadness and pain in the world.

Stop looking to man only for a convincing factor and start looking to His Word (The Bible) also. Ask God to open your eyes. He will if you really want them to be opened. The “envy” you feel in you heart towards us may just be from God. Start reading the word of God and stop leaning on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 KJV Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
John 5:38 NIV nor does His word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent.

Unlike what you believe, (“God only exist for those that believe”), God exist even for those that do not believe. Ask Him to show you the truth through His Son, Jesus Christ.

John 6:64 KJV But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

Anything that we believe was not revealed to us by flesh and blood but by the Spirit of God through His Son Jesus Christ.

This is why we have comfort believing someone is taking care about our sadness and pain – we believe he is sovereign in all things and have a purpose for everything that happen, the bad and good.

      1 Timothy 1:16 KJV
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy , that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

God at this moment is not here to solve all our problems on earth now – as christian, we suffer and go through pain unlike some will explain to you. God did not promise an easy life for us. To escape the misery of the world – we only depend on our faith in Christ and the grace given to us because of it. We all are sinners saved by grace and not by works. It would do you good to study the Word of God and believe on His Son Jesus Christ. Do not stand in the council of the ungodly anymore, it does you no good.
