Jeremiah was a man that was greatly used by God. Before he was even born, God already had a specific calling and ministry for him. The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”  His name means “whom Jehovah appoints.” The day and age in which Jeremiah lived in was one of moral decadence and spiritual anarchy.
