The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

Beginning of Wisdom

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.- Proverbs 9:10-11 Wisdom multiplies days (Proverbs 9:11) Those who abuse their bodies with sin usually cut their lives short, but when you follow wisdom, you can add years to your life – and life to your years! God gives a fullness of experience to those who obey Him. – W.W. Weirsbe

Education and Marriage Part 1

May 23, 2012 |

Growing in a Middle Eastern culture I was often compared with other men based on height (and I am relatively short), looks (and I am an average looking Middle Eastern man), education (and I was a general labourer/forklift driver for 4 years), wealth (and I come from a middle class family and I earned minimum wages). Because of this throughout all my life I have always wanted my wife to love me for who I am: my God-given personality and talents, my continuously conforming character to being Christ-like, faith and relationship with the Lord, and my love and commitment to her. This desire to find a woman who loves me for who I am scared me from getting education early in my life (that is, right after graduating from high school) because I was always told, “Fadi, get a good education so when you want to get married the woman…    read more

My Worst “Nightmare”

January 6, 2012 |

Two Thousand Seven was an extremely stressful year for me because I lost the friendship of someone I dearly loved with all my heart. I found myself depressed for a long time, and my eyes teared for no reason, I cried almost daily, and wrestled with God daily. To make things worse I started university in September of that year and the stress level just shot up! So I became not only emotionally and spiritually tired but also physically and mentally tired and very sleep deprived. One day in early January of 2008 I went to sleep around 3:30 AM (because of school work I had to stay late), so I laid with my back flat on the bed looking at the ceiling and because I was so exhausted as soon as I put my head on the pillow I fell asleep. Suddenly (what seemed like a second after I…    read more

Considering the Benefits of Biblical Fasting

October 31, 2011 |

Today I want to talk about fasting. It’s not something that most people ever consider. You can say that it’s not clearly commanded in the Bible, but if you take a look you’ll see it comes up more often than you think. in Matthew Jesus says, “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” Matthew 6:16 Notice here, Jesus says WHEN, not IF. There are many other passages that mention it as well. We might not think it’s specifically addressed but if so, that’s only because it’s assumed we will. So what exactly is fasting? It’s essentially giving up some, or all, kinds of food and drink. You might not think this is possible,  but it is! Common fasts are 24 hours, 3 days, and 40…    read more

Evolutionary Tales Exposed: Part 8 – Creation Demands vs Evolutionary Demands

September 30, 2011 |

Now let`s consider the demands of creation versus the demands of the theory of evolution. First, creation demands the presence of a Creator. The theory of evolution demands the absence of a creator. Second, creation demands the creation of matter. The theory of evolution has no explanation for the origin of matter. Third, as for the time span of the existence of the universe, creation demands the time span of recorded history. The theory of evolution demands eons of time, billions of years. Fourth, creation demands a `spirit world`. That is, the presence of a `higher power`, one who created this universe and governs its operation. This `higher power` is the giver of life. The theory of evolution does not allow for a higher power or a giver of life. The theory of evolution says life emerged spontaneously from non-living matter. Fifth, there is the fossil record. Creation demands a…    read more

A Broken Vessel Restored

September 9, 2011 |

I am sharing this because it is a wonderful and heartfelt dream that I have been seeking the Lord about for the past several years. It is answered prayer and one that will come to pass in Gods perfect timing. I must wait, wait for it, wait for the Lord Jesus concerning such. You may find yourself depicted in this dream. I pray the Lord touch you through and through and minister even unto you as He has to me. I share this because it brings truth of what the Lord is going to do in these last days, not just with me but to all those who are of His True Body. I’m going to share things of myself that I don’t often speak of but pray about privately. Of late my body has been racked with pain coming from different places, mostly the left side of my body….    read more

How Sexual Immorality Affects the Body of Christ

September 7, 2011 |

Today I watched the Francis Chan sermon called “Holiness” and he talked about some verses that we don’t normally hear about. “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For ‘the two,’ He says, ‘shall become one flesh.’” 1 Corinthians 6:15-16 The image that Paul paints here is very strong. You see as Christians we are all part of the body of Christ, this isn’t something to be taken lightly. We all know that sexual immorality creates a spiritual bond between two people. When we are involved in sexual immorality as Christians, whether it be pornography or sexual activity outside of marriage, it’s forcing the spirit of Christ within us to engage…    read more

Evidence of the Creator – The Human Hand

August 25, 2011 |

You are carrying on your body more advanced tools than what engineers can create in a lab! Seriously, think about the complexity of your body. Let’s take a look at our hand. Your hand has the power to lift heavy objects and at the same time gently hold another hand without crushing it. One interesting fact is that our hand can also detect the elevation difference the width of a hair. We usually take for granted the healing element of our hand. Isn’t it completely amazing how the hand can on its own can repair itself. There is no electronic in the world which can repair itself like the hand is able to do!

The Eye is the Lamp of the Body – Part 1

July 11, 2011 |

I was was surfing the TV channels and I saw the title of one show called “Dirty Jobs” so I settled down to see what it is about. There was a young woman in her 20’s wearing a full body white suit that even had a head covering and some kind of plastic window to see through. She was talking about how important her suit is because if her clothes get the smell from her job it would be almost impossible to get it out, besides the smell is intolerable! She also said the suit protects her from many diseases her job may expose her to. By then I was thinking, “What does she do?!” She obviously wasn’t a bee handler because bees don’t produce a terrible smell! She obviously wasn’t a nuclear scientist or a lab technician of some sort, because the setting was in the afternoon in a…    read more

Evolutionary Tales Exposed: Part 5 – Mutation

I recently read that if you took one chromosome from a human and stretched it out, it would be seven feet long. ONE chromosome. It would be so thin you could not see it even with an electron microscope. If you took ALL of the chromosomes in the average human body and stretched them in a chain, they would extend back and forth to the moon 200,000 times. I want you to know that there is an enormous amount of genetic information in the human body. If you took the genetic information in your body and entered it into your computer word processor, it would require enough paper to more than fill the Grand Canyon. It takes an enormous amount of information to produce a human from the sperm and ovary. It takes a gigantic amount of genetic `instructions` to produce a human. The theory of evolution says that by…    read more

Evolutionary Tales Exposed: Part 1- The Origin of Life

June 17, 2011 |

What is life? Is it just having the right combinations of proteins in just the right order? Is a man nothing more than a collection of substances and chemicals that happened to somehow `become alive`? Evolutionists claim that the process of life was started by some unknown process, millions (or billions) of years ago. This is the foundation of the evolutionary theory. Is there proof that this is really what happened? One of the greatest weaknesses of evolutionary theory is that there are too many forms of life to have happened by chance, and the building blocks of life are too complex to have just somehow `happened`. Could a cell by chance come into being that “has the DNA instructions to fill one thousand 600-page books?” -(National Geographic).   Examples: 1. Research has shown that the requirements for life are so complex that chance and even billions of years could…    read more

Arise: No Shame in Scars – Part 3

June 8, 2011 |

The Testimony of Emma Nation reflects the pain and depravity that we face outside of Christ and the ultimate plan that the devil has for all humans which is death! But thank God that He has a better plan for us, a plan for life everlasting! Emma wraps up her testimony, with a revelation on how God is continuing to heal the scars in her life.   Testimony My life still holds pain, but I have a faithful comforter and healer! I am still a broken woman, desperately in need of His strength, love, forgiveness and rest every single day, but I am a new creation starting fresh as a pure, lovely, redeemed, chosen, loved child of the Most High King. March 13, 2010 was the day that this verse became the true claim of my life. This was also the day that God changed my name from Emily to…    read more

Laminin Declares The Supremacy of God

May 18, 2008 |

Laminin Declares The Supremacy of God says Louie Giglio has he speaks about how it relates to the human body and life in general. He speaks about Laminin the protein network foundation for most cells and organs. Laminin are an important and biologically active part of the basal lamina, influencing cell differentiation, migration, adhesion as well as phenotype and survival, in simple terms Laminin molecules holds every cell in our body together. It just amazes me that the molecule that holds everything together in our bodies shapes like a cross, but more importantly that God cares about me in every way He holds everything together and in Him we have life. Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities,…    read more
